On 26 October 2019 at 20:00, a 24 year old victim was raped twice between Musong and Palmietfontein.
She was at a traditional ceremony and when she went to the toilet, the accused grabbed her and pulled her into the bush and raped her twice. He then took her to his house and locked her inside.
A person passing the house heard someone crying and assisted her to get out of the house.
The accused, Khethang Baleng (30) was arrested on the 28 October 2019 and found guilty at the Sterkspruit Magistrate court on the 19 May 2021 on the charges of kidnapping and rape.
He was sentenced to 5 years for kidnapping and 25 years for rape.
In total he will serve 30 years.
