The South African Police Service in Kamesh are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 23 year old man was wounded in the upper body at 18:30 on Saturday, 14 September 2019. Police were summoned to the scene in Puffin Street, Kamesh after two armed suspects allegedly shot at the 23 year old driver as he was travelling in Puffin Street.

The victim had multiple gunshot wounds in the upper body and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The suspects fled allegedly from the scene in an unknown blue vehicle. The motive for the attempted murder is not known at this stage and the case is being investigated.

The acting Uitenhage Cluster Commander, Brig Ronald Koll has condemned the shooting incident and has instructed that the perpetrator/s must be brought to book.
