SAPS Humewood members worked tirelessly to trace an alleged murder suspect after a man was murdered on Tuesday evening, 27 September 2022 in Central.
It is alleged that on Tuesday at approximately 20:50 SAPS Humewood responded to a complaint at a block of flats in Military Road, Central.
On arrival the members were informed that residents found the deceased Goodson Tshombe aged 25, on the stairs with a stab wound to the chest.
While transporting him to hospital in a private vehicle they managed to stop a passing ambulance in Castle Road who declared Tshombe dead.
A case of murder was opened and on Thursday 29 September 2022, the 35-year-old suspect was arrested at his residence in Central.
He is expected to appear in court soon.
