The South African Police Service appeals to community members to assist with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect on the attached identikit. The suspect sought is between 25 and 30 years of age and approximately 1.60m tall.

The suspect is wanted in connection with cases of house robbery and murder that occurred at 22:50 on Friday, 21 December 2018 at 2825 Vergenoeg, Kwanomzamo, Humansdorp.

It is alleged that some of the occupants were sitting in the lounge, when there was a knock on the door. Upon opening the door two armed males (both had firearms) entered the house and threatened the occupants.

The suspects demanded cash, R200-00 and a wedding ring was handed over to the suspects. The suspects then asked where “Cookie” (Vuyolwethu Matodlana) was and they were directed to the bedroom where she was sleeping. The suspects fired several shots into the bedroom and fatally wounded the 36 year old female.

The suspects then fled the scene and Humansdorp SAPS was notified. The motive for the murder is still not clear.
