A 25 year old Kwanoxolo man was shot in his buttocks after three unknown males entered his house in Joza Street during the early hours of 21 September 2019.

It is alleged that at about 04:40 the complainant was asleep when he was awakened by the three men in his room. One suspect pointed a firearm at him. They demanded money and his cellphone. A small amount of cash and his cellphone was taken.

The complainant grappled with the suspect with the firearm and he was shot in his buttocks. The suspects entered the house by breaking a bedroom window. They left through the same window.

A 9mm pistol suspected to that of the suspect’s was found behind a couch. The serial number is filed off. A case of house robbery is under investigation. The complainant was taken to hospital for treatment.
