Home invasion: Stokvel robbery, armed suspects sought, KwaNobuhle

The South African Police Service in KwaNobuhle in cooperation with detectives from the Uitenhage Cluster Operational Command Centre have launched a search for armed suspects following a robbery at a residence in Bantom Street, KwaNobuhle today, 2 September 2018 at 16:45.

It is alleged that the armed male suspects entered the house, whilst females were busy hosting a stokvel meeting.

The suspects threatened the group and demanded their cash. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and six cellphones and fled on foot from the scene. No one was injured during the robbery. Uitenhage Cluster detectives are investigating a case of house robbery and detectives are following up on all possible leads.

The South African Police Service appeal to stokvel association to put additional safety measures in place to prevent these robberies from occurring. Doors must always be locked, especially during these meetings.
