Mthatha police requests information that may lead to the arrest of a killer/s that shot and killed a 56 year old woman and a 14 year old girl at Moyeni locality in Libode on 21 April 2019, at about 18:00. It is alleged that both the deceased were watching television when the assailant/s entered the house shooting and killing them instantly.
Both the deceased sustained upper body injuries. Motive for the attack is not yet known and no arrest as yet. We request anyone with information to contact Detective Captain Zwakala on 082 921 1003 or Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111.
The Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Mandlakhe Twala condemned and described the act as barbaric and cowardice. “It is only a coward that hurts or kills women and children. The SAPS is committed in the fight against such crimes and we will leave no stone unturned in order for us to bring the perpetrator/s to book.”
