An elderly man, Jannie Wait (83) was found by his son, who had gone to visit him, covered in blood with deep wounds on his head and arms. Wait had been attacked by a home invader and hacked with a machete. The attack took place on Thursday 20 February 2020, in the man’s home in Greenshields Park, Port Elizabeth.
Wait was found laying on his bed in a serious condition and in a severe state of shock and was rushed to hospital.
Police will investigate the attack.
