The South African Police Service in the Humansdorp Cluster in conjunction with detectives from SAPS Humansdorp and Thornhill have launched a manhunt for suspects following a house robbery incident that occurred last night, 21 December 2018 in the cluster.

It is alleged that four unknown males entered a house through an open door in Weaverway, Thornhill at 22:00, on 21 December 2018 and threatened the couple with firearms and knives. The suspects tied the couple up and demanded cash. The complainant tried to overpower one of the suspects and he was stabbed multiple times with a screwdriver. The suspects also allegedly assaulted him in the process.

The suspects took cell phones, tablets, laptops, jewellery and cash and fled from the scene. The complainant managed to alert their security company and the SAPS.

Thornhill SAPS are investigating a case of house robbery. The couple was taken for medical treatment.Detectives are following up on all possible leads.
