Dutywa Police arrested a 57 year old man for alleged attempted rape. It is alleged that a 66 year old woman was alone at her home on Friday 19 April 2019, at about 19h00 at Auckland Locality, Mangathi Village, Dutywa. She saw the suspect entering her home.
The suspect tried to rape her but the victim fought back and was spared.
The 66 year old woman identified the suspect and reported the case at Dutywa Police Station. The suspect was traced and arrested. He will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 23 April 2019 on a charge of attempted rape.
