Police arrested a 21 year old man for alleged rape of a 58 year old woman. It is alleged that the victim was watching television with her daughter on Wednesday 6 June 2019, at about 19h00 at Bhongweni Locality, Mangathi Village, Dutywa.
She went to the kitchen and when she did not come back, her daughter went to the kitchen to look for her. She caught the suspect in the act of raping her mother. The suspect fled the scene. He was traced and arrested on Friday 7 June 2019.
The suspect has been charged with rape and will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Monday 10 June 2019.
