Following the report of an alleged carjacking of a VW Polo in NU 6, Mdantsane last night at about 23:00, Mdantsane police are searching for suspects involved in the alleged crime.
Motorists are urged to be cautious when offering lifts to hitchhiking strangers in order to avoid being victims of circumstances.
The driver of the hijacked white VW Polo, with registration number: JND 371 EC gave a lift to a stranger in King Williams Town. It is, alleged that near the Sasol garage in NU13, Mdantsane, he gave a lift to another two hitchhiking strangers who seemed to know the first male he had picked up.
They directed him to NU5, Mdantsane and he heard them talking of killing him. The suspects hijacked his vehicle and further took his wristwatch and tekkies.
