Members of the PE Flying Squad responded to a hijacking complaint in Central area early this morning.
As members drove into Ferguson street, New Brighton, the hijacked VW Jetta came chasing out of one of the side streets.
A high speed chase ensued through New Brighton until the suspect lost control and crashed into a cement block in Singapi Street.
The suspects jumped from the vehicle and escaped on foot.
SAPS is investigating the case.
