Three suspects were arrested after two hundred and seventy mandrax tablets, an unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as 75820 ml of liquor were seized during operation in Mdantsane.
Mdantsane OCC, Detectives and Crime Intelligence officers raided a house in NU3. They allegedly found two hundred and seventy mandrax tablets and the two small plastic bags of tik, weighing 82,7g and arrested the suspect.
They proceeded to another house in NU7 and arrested a suspect for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Police closed down an illegal shebeen, seized 75820 ml of liquor in NU1 and the owner was issued with a R2500 fine for selling liquor without liquor license.

The suspects are expected to be charged with dealing in drugs, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, selling liquor without liquor license and numerous counts of robberies when they appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on soon.
