SAPS Uitenhage Station Commander, Brigadier Andre Swart has activated the immediate implementation of the 72-hour activation plan following the murder and attempted murder of two (2) people at Vanes Estate, Uitenhage on the night of 10 November 2022.
It is alleged that at approximately 21:55, shots were fired through a sliding door at a residence in Reid Street, Vanes Estate, Uitenhage. Keisha Goliath (15) and a 36-year-old woman sustained injuries.
Both victims were rushed to hospital however the 15-year-old teenager succumbed to her injuries.
The suspects and motive for the shooting are unknown at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.
A case of murder and attempted murder is under investigation.
