Gruesome murder of 4 men, manhunt launched, Qumbu

Eastern Cape Police are hot on the heels of suspects behind the gruesome murder of four men aged between 20 and 22-years-old. The four men were found with bullet wounds on their upper bodies on 20 May 2020, at Mbentse locality in Qumbu at about 07:00.

The bodies believed to be of men from Luxeni locality in Qumbu were discovered by a passer-by at the grazing field who alerted the community of the gruesome discovery.

The motive for their killing is not yet known. Police are investigating a case of murder and no arrests yet, investigation continues.

Eastern Cape Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Andre Swart condemned this gruesome murder and pleaded with the detectives to work closely with the community to uncover who is behind this attack. “No stone must be left unturned in pursuit of the killers,” he added.
