On Tuesday 21 May 2019, Grahamstown K9 Unit’s Captain Percy Benn and Warrant Officer Konzani with tracker dog ‘Black’ attended an integrated dog practice session with private game reserves in the area namely, Shamwari, Kwandwe, Kariega, Amakhala and Lalibela.

The main focus was aggression work and walking spoor. The SAPS K9 handlers shared hints tips and crucial advice. The session was fruitful and the private game Reserve handlers expressed their gratitude to the SAPS for this great initiative.

Captain Percy Benn said, “We will continue with this exercise with other Reserves in the area to protect our wildlife.”
