Determination and commitment by the dedicated Humansdorp SAPS members were commended when they swiftly apprehended five suspects (ages between 21 and 29) who were allegedly perpetrated a house robbery on, Tuesday, 18 April 2017.

It is alleged that the 26-year-old victim was inside his home at about 17:30, in Silver Town, Humansdorp when the five males forced their way into the house and threatened the victim with knives. The suspects demanded money from the victim and took his wallet containing cash and two cellphones. The suspects fled soon afterwards from the scene and the victim reported the case to the Humansdorp SAPS on Wednesday, 19 April 2017.

Police officials immediately followed up on information and apprehended the five suspects in the Humansdorp area. They are due to appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 21 April 2017 on a charge of house robbery.

The Cluster Commander for Humansdorp, Brigadier John Lebok, has applauded the members on their prompt response to the information as well as the swift arrest of the five suspects.
