Five suspects with ages between 22 and 31 were arrested at Lurhasini, Mngceleni, Sibangweni and Shukunxa localities around Mthatha in the early hours of 14 July 2017.
Police followed positive information after a housebreaking and theft occurred at Lurhasini locality where a Plasma television, two pistols and a safe were stolen. Both pistols, two magazines, two rounds of ammunition and the safe were recovered.
Mthatha Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza applauded the members for the good successes.
All the suspects will appear before Mthatha Magistrates’ Court on Monday the 17 July 2017.
