East London Crime Prevention members were doing stop and searches in the CBD area on the night of 12 December 2017, as part of the festive season operations.
While they were in Oxford Street they came across of a 28 year old suspicious male and stopped and searched him.
A plastic bag with Tik was found in his possession with the street value of plus minus R500 and a case of possession of drugs has been opened. They proceeded to St John’s road where they also stop and searched a 29 years old male and found 10 Mandrax tablets with the estimated value of plus minus R1000.
The two suspects appeared in court on 13 Decemeber 2017.
While they were at St Paul’s road they came across an abandoned vehicle that was stolen the previous night in Quigney.
