Port St Johns Detectives are requesting community assistance in tracing the 40-year-old police official who was last seen on 8 December 2020.

It is alleged that Warrant Officer Nosipho Mpakati was last seen by her son (16), leaving her homestead at Tyibane locality in Port St Johns on the 8 December at about 23:00.

Mthatha K9 Search and Rescue team with the assistance of EMS helicopter and the community have since been searching for her with negative results.

Warrant Officer Mpakathi is light in complexion, medium height with short hair. It is not clear what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist with her whereabouts to urgently contact Detective Lieutenant Col Mandla Miya on 082 779 7259. Information can also be shared on SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111, MySAPS App or any nearest police station.
