SAPS members from Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit have arrested a 37 year old suspect in connection with the alleged rape of 79 year old woman.
The incident took place at Magwala Administrative Area on Saturday 1 February 2020. It is alleged that Gogo was sleeping alone in her house while the suspect forcefully entered and raped her.
A case of rape was reported and police followed the leads and managed to arrest the perpetrator on Sunday 2 February 2020.
The suspect was detained and will appear before the Cofimvaba Magistrate Court on Monday 3 February 2020.
