A farm attack took place on on the night 15 September 2022, at 20:20, in the Gamtoos Mouth area outside of Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
A elderly woman and her caregiver were spending the weekend at a farmhouse when three attackers through a large ash-block brick through the bedroom window.
The attackers gained entry to the farmhouse, overpowered the elderly pair and demanded money.
The attackers then shot the elderly caregiver in the chest fatally wounding him and fled the scene.
It is unclear at this point if anything was stolen during the attack.
After the alarm was raised all role players responded.
Tracker dogs were used and farm watch operations were put into motion.
The police, local security companies and farmers from the area searched for the attackers but there were no arrests.
