Farm attack, family tied up, firearm robbed, De Stades, Port Elizabeth

A farm attack took place on 4 July 2023, at 21:15, in the farm De Stades area outside Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

A couple were overpowered outside their home by two attackers armed with a revolver, bolt cutter and fence pole.

The attackers demanded access to the safe and forced the victims to open the safe.

The couple were assaulted and the family, including young children, were tied up.

The home was then also ransacked and the attackers fled with a firearm, cash, jewelery and other household items.

No injuries were reported other than extreme trauma to the young children.

The attackers fled on foot.

After raising the alarm all role players and police responded.

There have been no arrets.
