A couple were injured and taken to hospital after being attacked on their farm in Kirkwood in the Eastern Cape. The attack took place on Friday night, 17 August 2018, at 20:15, 10 km outside of Kirkwood.
When the couple arrived home they were confronted by two men armed with pistols, they were overpowered and assaulted. When in the house a third suspect appeared and demanded cash. The couple were severely beaten over the head with the firearms. The attackers fled the scene with cell phones and money.
Police were summoned and are investigating the farm attack. No arrests have been made.
