A farm attack took place on 31 August 2021, at 13:30, on a smallholding in Lakeside, Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. A man (53) was shot in the back by four attackers.
As the attackers invaded the home the man’s girlfriend (34) immediately escaped and went for assistance from the neighbouring house that is on the same property.
She then heard glass breaking and one of the attackers, armed with a firearm, was in the house demanding money and firearms from her.
Fortunately the woman was not injured during the attack but after things got quite she returned to her home to find the man with a gunshot wound in the back.
During the home invasions only a cell phone, a TV and a small amount of cash was robbed.
All role players responded and the man was hospitalised.
There have been no arrests.
