In the early hours of 16 October 2019, members of South African Police Service ensured a drug dealer was kept away from the community. A joint operation between Crime Intelligence (CI) and members of Elliot K9 Unit, yielded successful results after positive information was gathered that a house situated in Nxomfo Extension, occupied a drug dealer.

A 23 year old suspect was then arrested, in his possession, with of nine zip zolls and an undisclosed amount of money was confiscated and booked. The suspect is detained at the Dordrecht police holding cells, awaiting his first court appearance.

Elliot Cluster Commander, Colonel Matshediso Gezani, commended the foot soldiers in blue for their tireless work with community members to remove drugs from the streets.
