At the start of the weekend of 14 September 2019, members of the Elliot K9, Sgt Nduku, Sgt Futho and Sgt Ntshanka followed up on positive information about a suspect who had drugs in his possession.
An operation was then conducted at 20:00 at Old Locality in Ugie where the suspect was found and searched. The following were found in his possession:
2x full boss mandrax, 01x half boss mandrax, 1/4 boss mandrax and loose tik drugs wrapped in a pink plastic bag, all were found in the pocket of the trousers he was wearing at the time.
He will be detained for possession of drugs.
The Cluster Commander Col Matshediso Gezani commended the members for the focus on drugs in the Cluster that is also generators of Crime.
