Police are investigating a case of business robbery after two men armed with electric shock devices hit a tavern in Hankey today.

On Sunday, 30 September 2018 around 03:00, a 29 year old owner of a tavern in Nuwe Street, Centerton area, Hankey, alleged that two men wearing balaclavas attacked him and his assistant from behind with electric shock devices while they were cleaning the premises.

The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. At the time of the incident, it is believed that the tavern was closed for business.

Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the nearest police station or to share information via Crime Stop 08600 10111.
