Operations, Back to Basics and Safer Festive Season netted three suspects aged between 27 and 35 years of age at a roadblock held on the N2 yesterday near Wilsonia, East London.

On searching their vehicle, police found 177 new cellphones, cash of about R12 000.00, angle grinder, crowbar, sledgehammer and cutting pliers.

Initial investigations revealed that these items are linked to a burglary at a store in Graaff-Reinet recently.

They will appear before the East London Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 11 January 2018 facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property as well as possession of house breaking implements.
