Two police officials from the Eastern Cape were arrested after 15 sheep were found in their possession.

It is alleged that they stole the sheep to the value of R27 000. The vehicle in which the sheep were transported was seized.

The incident occurred in the Butterworth area.

Meanwhile, farmers are encouraged to bring their registered identification of the sheep and cattle, as this can expedite the investigation and give proof of ownership.
