East London Crime Prevention members were doing stop and search in the CBD area as part of the festive season operations.
While they were at Jagged Street they met a 32 year old male and asked to search him. Tik was found in his possession and a case of possession of drugs has been opened.
Another 27 year old suspect was arrested at Kimberly road with Tik in his car. While they were at the corner of Oxford and Kimberly Street a 44 year old suspect ran while he saw the police and the members gave chase and apprehended the suspect.
An unlicensed firearm was found in his possession with five live rounds. A case of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition has been opened.
The firearm was circulated and discovered that it was not reported stolen and the owner stays in Bisho. All the suspect will appear in the East London Magistrates’ Court 15 January 2018.
