Drugs and burglaries: Elliot K9 unit members carry out operation

In the early hours of 23 August 2019, members of the Elliot K9 Unit acted swiftly upon receiving information from Cluster Intelligence (CIG) and carried out an operation to search the premises of two suspects in Maclear.

The members found two full boss mandrax tablets and six bompies of dagga in the resident of a 30 year old male suspect in Klevi Location.

While, in Kwanongcatyana Tavern, the K9 Unit recovered two television sets, a 54 inch Samsung and a 52 JVC, in the possession of a 33 year old female.

The suspects are expected to appear in court shortly on chargers relating to dealing in drugs and residential burglary, respectively.

Elliot Cluster Commander, Matshediso Gezani, has warned that her Cluster will be intolerable to criminals and commends her members for their dedication and efficiency in performing operations.
