Substance abuse is one of the major drivers of violent crimes. Hence our members are continuously tackling drug dealers.
This led to arrest of a 27 year old suspect in NU1, Mdantsane.
We have been long suspecting that he was selling drugs in his premises. The OCC police members searched the premises and confiscated mandrax tablets to the value of R15 000.
The suspect is due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrates’ Court on Monday 24 July 2017 on a charge of dealing in drugs.
This province is making inroads to intercept every move made by drug dealers, in order to create a brighter future for our youth.
