Drug dealer arrested with 2 unlicensed firearms, Humansdorp

Humansdorp Cluster Commander, Brigadier John Lebok has praised members for the sterling work, after a 24 year old man was arrested for possession of two unlicensed firearms and dealing in drugs in Humansdorp.

On Friday, 15 November 2019 around 03:30, police obtained a search warrant and pounced on a house in 7th Avenue, Humansdorp after receiving information about illicit drugs on the premises.

At the scene, police recovered a .38 revolver with six rounds of ammunition, a 7.65mm pistol with one round of ammunition, eleven mandrax tablets, 10 small plastic packets of cocaine, 42 zolls of dagga and 48 bompies of dagga stashed in different areas inside the house.

Police arrested a 24 year old man, Renwill Elroy Michaels, who has appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court. Michaels has been charged on two counts of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of dagga, possession of cocaine and possession of mandrax.

The case was postponed to Friday, 22 November 2019 for further investigation and a bail application.
