Police are searching for at least three men who allegedly robbed a butchery in Botha Street during lunchtime in Despatch on 3 July 201, at around 13:30.

It is alleged that three men armed with firearms stormed into a butchery in Botha Street, Despatch. It is said that one of the suspects held the two assistants at gunpoint, while the other two men ransacked the business. Suspects stole undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a white/beige Corsa with Gauteng registration number plates.

The same butchery was also robbed of cash last week, in a similar fashion.

Police are hot on the heels of the suspects in the first incident. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Wouter Verwey on 084 846 2273 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
