SAPS endeavours to remove illicit drugs from our streets yielded positive results when two suspects aged 32 and 37-years-old were arrested for being in possession of a large amount of dagga.

It is alleged that during the early hours of 9 August 2021 Rietbron members were patrolling the Nelspoort road (NR 332) when they observed a suspicious white Toyota Quantum taxi with two occupants in the vehicle. On stopping the vehicle and searching it, they found it loaded with many large bags.

The vehicle was searched and fifty three bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R400 000-00 was confiscated.

The suspects were arrested for the illegal possession of dagga and are due to appear before Willowmore magistrate court soon.
