On 19 August 209, information was received from a source, which led to the successful apprehension and arrest of six adult males for dealing in Dagga.

During the operation, a Quantum minibus taxi and trailer were also confiscated, which was used to transport the illicit drugs. This followed the swift reaction of the Cradock Cluster Operational Command Centre personnel, who at about 19:00, stopped and searched the identified vehicle on the N10, National road, en route to Cape Town.

Six adult males between the ages of 18 and 42 years, were found in possession of 557 kilograms of dagga. They will appear in the Cradock Magistrates Court soon.

The community is once again sensitized to report information, because successful apprehension of perpetrators requires intelligence collection from the community.
