A successful combined intelligence driven operation by members of Crime Intelligence, the Operational Command Center Team, Burgersdorp Vispol and reservists, made the arrest of three suspects possible on Sunday evening, 24 November 2019 at 22:00.
The positive information was followed up at a house in Thembisa locality. On searching the house the drugs were found in a panel of the electric stove in the kitchen. 195 Mandrax tablets and 56 crystal meth straws with an estimated street value of R 22 300-00 together with cash was seized. Three suspects aged 23, 22 and 22 were arrested.
The acting Cluster Commander, Colonel Mpho Rabela commended the combined forces on the successful arrest and recovery of drugs. The dealing in drugs will not be tolerated in our small towns destroying our communities. Thank you to the community for the positive information and taking the SAPS hand in the fight against crime together we will turn the tide against the criminals.
