The execution of back to basic crime prevention operation that was conducted on 10 July 2017 at about 14 :00, yielded good results.
Three people aged between 25 and 40 were arrested for selling of liquor without permits and 617 litres of liquor were confiscated.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested for possession of dagga weighing 3.104 Kg with an estimated street value of R3 150-00.
The operation was conducted at Bityi and 11 knives were confiscated in Mthatha CBD.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at Slovo Park in Mthatha on a warrant of arrest as per Port St John’s 2012 Case of Murder.
