The East London Cluster embarked on Operation Fiela 2 comprising of Crime Prevention Unit and BCMM Traffic officers from 19:00 on Saturday night, 22 December 2018 until 03:00 23 december 2018 in East London.
The operation was conducted at the CBD and Duncan Village focusing on robberies, burglary business, liquor related crimes, assaults and malicious damage to property, compliance by licenced liquor outlets owners and drunken driving.
A total of eighteen people were arrested for Drunken Driving. One male suspect arrested for Possession of Tik. All suspects will appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 24 December 2018.
