Having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change their goal to rid the communities we serve of the scourge of drugs and manifestations, East London K9, Buffalo Flats crime prevention, East London crime intelligence and Mdantsane OCC members arrested six suspects for possession of drugs, possession of stolen vehicle and possession possible stolen goods in East London Cluster yesterday.

This after a strong suspicion and information from the members of the community that two suspects are allegedly having drugs in their vehicle.

The members stopped the suspicious vehicle in Needs camp informal settlement and proceeded with a search of the car. Police discovered eight mandrax tablets and tik in the vehicle.

They proceeded with patrols, stop and search operation in Buffalo flats policing precinct and arrested a suspect for possession of thirty five mandrax tablets in Parkside.

In Scenery Park, they recovered a stolen Toyota Tazz vehicle and arrested the suspect for possession of stolen vehicle.

Lastly, they recovered a laptop and arrested suspects for burglary residential and possession of possible stolen goods in Nompumelelo, Beacon Bay. Few hours after the reported burglary in a Beacon Bay property.

The six suspects, 19 and 43 years old, are due to appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of drugs, possession of stolen vehicle and possession possible stolen goods.
