Centane police arrested a 26 year old man for alleged murder of a 32 year old man. It is alleged that there was a traditional ceremony at Nontshinga Locality, Centule Village, Centane on Friday, 14 June 2019 at about 02:30, the suspect stabbed the victim on his upper body.

The victim was rushed to Tafalofefe hospital and was confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital.

The motive behind the murder has not yet been established. The suspect was traced and arrested. He will appear before the Centane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 18 June 2019 on a murder charge. The traditional ceremonies (imigidi) have been stopped by traditional leaders and the police to avoid crimes like murder and rape.
