Walmer police are on the hunt for a suspect allegedly involved in a business robbery at a take away outlet in Circular Drive, Lorraine on the morning of 1 February 2021.

It is alleged that at approximately 08:45, the suspect entered the take away and pointed a firearm at one of the employee’s, demanding cash. The suspect forced all the employees to the back of the premises. The manager was busy in her office when the suspect approached her and demanded cash. She was assaulted with the firearm.

No cash was taken however the personal belongings of the employees (cell phones and cash) were taken. The suspect fled on foot into the nearby bushes. The manager was taken to hospital for further medical attention.

A case of business robbery is under investigation.
