A 34-year-old Bethelsdorp woman is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 23 March 2021 for the alleged murder of her husband on the night of 20 March 2021, at their home in Kamedie Crescent in Extension 21.

It is alleged that at about 23:30, Duran Alexander (33) and his wife returned home and went inside. According to witnesses, loud shouts could be heard from the couple. While the arguments continued, the woman reportedly screamed for help. Alexander was found lying on the floor, bleeding.

He sustained a stab wound to his chest and died prior to receiving any medical attention.

The woman was arrested on the scene and detained.
