On January 1, 2017 members of the East London Mounted Unit received information from members of the public that a suspicious bag was hidden by the sand dunes.
Members immediately responded and found a plastic bag with 72 stacks of counterfeit notes.
The counterfeit money handed in at East London SAPS and investigations are underway.
