Three men with their ages ranging between 19 and 24 years were arrested by Mtontsasa police after a Business Burglary case was reported where four men broke into a shop at Goxoza locality, Mtontsasa today at about 03:00.

A 19 year old man was arrested at the scene of crime where he advanced to police with his axe but was shot on his leg. The axe and a knife were confiscated. His three accomplices escaped an arrest fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money and groceries amounting to R5252.50.

Police activated a 72 hour plan and made a follow up in tracing other suspects. Two other suspects 21 and 24 years were arrested at Mdeni locality, Kwa-Khanyayo A/A at about 14:00. All the groceries and money were recovered. One more arrest is expected as police are on the heels of the fourth suspect.

The suspects will appear at Mtontsasa Periodical Court tomorrow facing charges of Business Burglary, Possession of suspected stolen property, possession of dangerous weapons and an additional charge of Attack on Police was added to the 19 year old suspect. The District Commissioner Major General David Mhlangenqaba Kanuka lauded the operators for the job well done.
