SAPS Humewood detectives arrested one suspect at a flat in Military Road in Central on the night of 31 May 2023, for the alleged attack and robbery of an Atlas security official on Monday evening, 29 May 2023 in Western Road.
At about 20:00, detectives with the assistance of metro police followed up on information and found the 32-year-old suspect at the abovementioned address.
He is detained on charges of robbery and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to appear in the Gqeberha Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 5 June 2023.
The hunt for the remaining two suspects continues.
