After a missing person report was filed at Scenery Park Police Station last month, investigations led to the recovery of two human bones at Ngquthu Mahlubini village cliffs.

A case of kidnapping was opened after the Reeston community members took two male suspects, suspected to have committed a housebreaking in the area, and the suspects were reported as missing.

On 21 April 2018, East London Flying Squad members together with Scenary Park investigating officer followed up on information where seven male suspects between the ages of 35 and 45 years were arrested.

They further discovered that the two males that were kidnapped was killed and thrown in the deep cliff of Nqguthu. A case of double murder has been added to the kidnapping charge.

All seven suspects will appear in the East London Magistrate Court today, 24 April 2018.
