Quick response from SAPS Algoa Park members responded in the speedy arrest of three suspects allegedly involved in a business robbery which occurred the morning of 22 October 2019.

It is alleged that on Tuesday, at about 09:50, four unknown males entered a shop in Commercial Road in Sidwell and held the owner (28) at gunpoint. The suspects took cigarettes, a laptop, cash and a 2 cell phones .The total estimated value of the items taken is R 21 700.

Suspects fled in a pink Toyota Tazz. SAPS Algoa Park members spotted the car as they were speeding towards Zwide. A chase ensued and the car crashed into a boundary wall at the corners of Kattoo and Mkhuze Streets in Zwide.

One suspect managed to flee while 3 suspects (in their 30”s) were arrested. One cell phone, cash, laptop and the cigarettes were recovered. A toy gun was also found.

The suspects are detained on a case of possession of suspected stolen property and detectives are busy attempting to link them to the robbery. They are expected to appear in court soon. Investigation is ongoing.
